Discover Your Talents

One of the best sources available to help in guiding you to discover your talents, create work you love, and make money is Laurence Boldt.

In How to Find the Work You Love, he offers this key insight:

“You are more likely to find meaning and joy in your work and have greater success in the new economy if you choose your work on the basis of your purpose and talents . . .”

“Your talents are those things that come naturally to you as an individual. Talents are not chosen, but recognized.”

“Through the whole of nature, we hear the cry of : Be yourself! Be yourself! The lark does not sing the song of the nightingale, nor does the apple tree become ripe with cherries. Though we humans tend to complicate things with self-conscious thoughts, it is no different for us . . . If we do what we are naturally good at, we find the way of life easy. Find your way by recognizing and appreciating your talents.”

Specific guidelines and easy-to-complete worksheets to identify your talents, can be found in these two additional, excellent sources, both of which are available through Amazon.com:

o The Passion Test: The Effortless Path to Discovering Your Destiny, (2007) by Janet Bray Attwood and Chris Attwood; and

o Do What You Are, (2001) by Paul D. Tieger & Barbara Barron-Tieger.

But this is the first step; in order discover your talents, create work you love, and make money -- you need to move towards mastery . . .
