Innovate
To innovate, means to constantly improve the customer experience. Another key to making money your way. “There is no better way, Jeffrey Fox says (in How to Become a Marketing Superstar), to follow the cliché ‘Stay close to your customer,’ than to be your (own) customer. Experience doing business with your company as much as possible, the same way your customer does.”
“The objective, open-minded, keenly aware, dispassionate, ego-controlled super marketer will always find ways to make it easier and better for your customer to buy.”
“How can you fix or improve the customer experience, get an edge on competitors and (improve) if you don’t know what the customer knows?”
“Continuous (improvement), in every nook and cranny of the business is essential for the enterprise to change, to adapt and to go forward. The ‘President’s Pipeline’ is filled with projects: new product ideas, new packages, new brand names, new ways to sell, new markets to enter . . . it is called the President’s Pipeline because great marketing companies revere innovation, and making (things better) is the President’s priority."
Another irreverent, but innovative and wise like a fox marketeer, is Seth Godin. Check out his website and blog. Much of the material, he produces, he offers for free on the web.
